What does it do?
The NetAssure service provides businesses with a type of private network that still uses their existing Internet. Staff are able to access files from multiple locations without needing to resort to emailing them as attachments; basically the same approach as larger firms running their own dedicated networks, where employees can access their shared drives.
In addition to this capability, NetAssure provides a number of services including website content filtering. This basically allows businesses to blocks undesirable and harmful websites and can be blocked according to key words.
Malware, viruses and the like are often propagated via the same dubious websites that business owners are concerned about.
Sometimes inexperienced computer users wind up connecting to these sites inadvertently, either through a re-direct or by clicking on a link in an innocent-looking email. Updated filtering lists significantly reduce the chance of this occurring. Furthermore, NetAssure can also identify when an individual PC is affected by a problem and isolate it, rather than having to shut down every PC on the network.
